Bring your vector art to the symbol grid
Drop in filled or stroked SVG artwork, an Illustrator or Inkscape export, or an existing SF Symbols template. SymbolBuilder places the artwork on the symbol grid and reads grouped artwork as separate layers.
- SVG and vector-file import
- Existing template support
- Layer-aware artwork
Make the weights practical
A custom symbol needs more than one drawing to feel at home in a SwiftUI interface. SymbolBuilder builds the weight masters from your Regular artwork, including Auto-Suggest for line width, and leaves room to fine-tune the result.
- All nine symbol weights
- Auto-Suggest for line width
- Manual refinement controls
Use the right rendering mode
Assign palette colours and hierarchical levels per layer, then preview how the symbol behaves in monochrome, hierarchical, palette, and multicolor modes. Motion Groups are available for symbols that need animation behaviour.
- Palette and hierarchical layers
- Multicolor output
- Motion Group support
Preview, refine, export
Use the built-in editor to move, resize, reshape, and align paths, or build an element from scratch. The live SwiftUI preview shows the symbol at every weight and rendering mode before you export a standard SF Symbols template.
- Shape editor and alignment guides
- Live SwiftUI preview
- Xcode-ready template export
